Mulatsi raises with steadiness, it's Origin and delirious hope!

Parents of Mulatsi Senior Secondary school encompassing from within and across bugisu region assembled to underscore the progress and discuss matters arising to reflect on current enrollment and performances adjacent to consolidated efforts by the school's management.

On the 4 acreage, the school compliments it with modern infrastructure and a scenic environment, a home of hard work that always pays.

Mulatsi Senior Secondary School has progressively measured in the improvement of students over time, encompassing academic achievements, skill mastery, and personal growth. It's journey beams in as a Church of Uganda founded school located in Bukiende Subcounty, approximately 10 kilometers from Mbale City on the Mbale-Lwakhakha Highway. The school started in 1985 with 28 pioneer students who excelled as police officers, teachers and medics.

The history of the school begins with the founding body lead by the late Patrick Masette Kuuya (RIP) during the Obote's regime, He is remembered as an all-rouder, with contributions in education, sports and politics. They started with initial structures working with the late Bulasio Busiku who donated the land to the school. The school is affiliated with the Anglican church's educational mission, similar to other Church of Uganda schools in the region.

Something to note, parents in the surrounding communities walk the pride high as the school picks a terrain of formidable success based on the establishment and career contributions in the past 40 years since it's existence.

Community perspectives 

Wangolo Tom, a resident of Mulatsi village shares a limelight on the existence and impact of the school. He says from the humble beginning, the school has produced quite a lot of professionals citing police officers and teachers in the area.

Wangolo believes the good conduct and professionalism has transformed the education standards of the school.

However he appealed to the government and district stakeholders for infrastructure support to elevate the capacity of resident students so that the community benefits in terms of business and other social services.

Wapakhabulo David, a senior three student in the same school says the communities around have trust and hope because there is that feel between them. He says the fees structure is not high but rather affordable for parents.

While unlocking the fortune in the last 3 years, the enrollment has overwhelmingly improved attracting good grades at entry level and performance. With the current population at 1047 for both "O" level and "A" level, 

"Its predicative transition while I joined to serve, from 525 - 1047 students evolved on the discipline, hard work bringing forth to recreate a Vibrant and conducive environment for learners not only on their earmarked journeys but contributing tirelessly to transform the boundaries in the region" says the headteacher.


Samanya Peter, the school's Headteacher derives his remarks from continuous engagement and transparency with the founding bodies to champion the development and progress. His leadership breeds from One year as deputy and two years as a substantial headteacher, setting indelibility with confidence not forgetting the combined efforts from the teaching and non teaching staff.

The students body lives another nightmare to lift the image of old students in accordance with better developments.

Nabende Edward, one of the old students remembers the school's journey as being a responsive outcry due to scarcity and community demand 

Being affirmative to include;

‌A wave of fortune to revamp the old buildings, truly couples to re-establish the working relationship between the afore students and old ones.

‌Improving the welfare of both teachers and students through feeding and transportation means, giving bursaries to students with good and talented careers and expanding on acreage to accommodate the growing numbers.
