A DRUMING EXPEDITE ON 1.88BN NOSP COMMUNITY ACCESS ROAD, GRADABLE WORK ON FOCUS!
Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. The team compromised of political and technical stakeholders with the presence of Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume as mandated by the President.
The composition at Bungokho Sub county yielded numbers for the day's activity as Chris Mafabi, the sub county chairman shared his findings with Monitoring and supervision lead team.
According to the Site Engineer Magola Stanley, said that the 11.6Kms work progress stands at 45% including site clearing, bush clearing, graveling, drainage system and Arch bridge construction at 80%.
This project is expected to last for 8 months to it's completion, however two months have gradually lifted hopes among the Community farmers, a snapshot of activities along the access road reveal the impact is steadily building.
NOSP aims at creating market linkage for farmers through Community access roads in district and far end.
DPMO for mbale district Wanakina George Dawson says, the project is expected to link the entrepreneurs with road accessability towards final market.
A section of model farmers within NOSP piloted sub counties have exhibited on Soya and ground nuts as benefiting enterprizes to tap read market.
The monitoring team witnessed schemes at play in busoba sub county, ending the exercise with set priorities manifesting.
One of the farmers at lwangoli model farm demonstrated joint efforts in stepping up the yields after a sample harvest. He says the yields are expected to vary since the crops are in phases including those combined with application of fertilizer.
The day was married with rains leaving a fatigued exercise, beaming a dedicated beginning to the political corridor!
