Verification Exercise Enters Fifth Day As UNEB Calendar Sets In!

Day five brings the composure above average Today marked  the Fifth day on good progress as the exercise draws to Bungokho North constituency. Several schools have been verified to ascertain whether the first exercise tallies with the enrollments or the variations are relative after the headcount. 50% out of 86 schools under this exercise have been visited and verified. Watasa Mayoka, the principal Internal Auditor for Mbale District called on the entire team to speed up with the remaining clusters so that his office can handle and embark on the final findings before releases are wired to schools' accounts. The verification team also looked at the general attendances relatively to first data capture, as it had less variances not dropping in numbers but an additional to the first ones. Verification of all government aided schools kicked off today

Over 86 education institutions in Mbale district to be verified and establish the number of enrollments.  Watasa Mayoka, the Principal Internal Auditor for the district says the exercise is aimed at verifying the data in all schools to ensure proper  planning process done especially on releases. He added that it is also in compliance with the ministry of education guidelines to carry out the verification exercise. Three teams comprising finance and administration who were selected for this activity and they are expected to take 10 days in compiling the needed data effectively. Several schools in Bungokho South started on with a good note though the exercise kicked off late.

Mothers Embrace Breastfeeding Day In Bukiende Sub County

Mbale District  By Nangalama Moses  Hundreds of mothers attended the activism of breastfeeding and PPH celebrations on thursday this week  at Bukiende Sub county. Mbale district with a big perspective of ensuring communities support women to breastfeed anytime, anywhere, so that it is normalized and not censured in public life. This event was a big success making rounds of positive deliberations during our community focus on areas defined under the themes of breastfeeding and PPH. Masaba Fred the local council one welcomed this commemoration adding that the Sub county leadership has done credible work supporting mothers. He appealed to women to continue embracing health services and making sure babies are breastfed fully. Given the fact the month of August has been the activism for PPH and breastfeeding in the district, this time round the campaign took place in Bukiende which is hard to reach.
