Mothers Embrace Breastfeeding Day In Bukiende Sub County

Hundreds of mothers attended the activism of breastfeeding and PPH celebrations on thursday this week  at Bukiende Sub county. Mbale district with a big perspective of ensuring communities support women to breastfeed anytime, anywhere, so that it is normalized and not censured in public life.
This event was a big success making rounds of positive deliberations during our community focus on areas defined under the themes of breastfeeding and PPH.

Masaba Fred the local council one welcomed this commemoration adding that the Sub county leadership has done credible work supporting mothers.
He appealed to women to continue embracing health services and making sure babies are breastfed fully.

Given the fact the month of August has been the activism for PPH and breastfeeding in the district, this time round the campaign took place in Bukiende which is hard to reach.

ADHO Kisolo Stella Abigail, warned that 16 mothers die every day because of bleeding in the process of delivering. 
She encouraged mothers to have trust in the medical teams posted to facilities. This message was accompanied by short skits portraying maternal mortality deaths caused by TBA and those that are professionally carried out at facilities.

The celebration also was marked with effective maternity entitlements that do not force women to choose between their families and their work
Kibalatsi Samuel, the Sub county chairman called for full support from mothers in ensuring children get early care with good nutrition values for proper growth.
His appeal to all the parents was immensely called for since this occasion met the right audience to the message back home.
SACAO: BUKIENDE SUB COUNTY 
Nabukwasi Betty, the senior assistant chief Administrative officer for Bukiende expressed her gratitude for the turn up for the breastfeeding activism celebration. "Your coming remains meaningful today as we complete the campaigns.
On the same occasion, she recognized the presence of fathers because without their input, this would be impossible to celebrate"!
CAO DELICATE: MBALE DISTRICT 
The senior assistant chief Administrative officer also commended the health department for sending resilient cadres to such hard to reach facilities who have exhibited great working relationships between the community and the district leadership.
In the absence of chief Administrative officer, Mutuwa Regina Mabonga conveyed the assumed message to the mothers of Bukiende telling them to always have their deliveries in the health facilities so that they are quarantined for safety measures. 
Mutuwa who revealed this in a similar capacity, wished them good deliberations upon the theme well stated.
IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS 
Omonding Joel the implementing partners representative, compelled the message in unison for continuous corporations and support. Several implementing partners had a feasibility representation accompanied with teardrops and banners on the scene.
The appeal on behalf of shared partners present was to create amble time for mothers on PPH and breastfeeding. And also ensuring that positive living among communities served are vibrant.
DRDC: NAKAWALA NAUME 

The Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume for Mbale District curtailed this day a guest of honor who addressed the congregation on diversional issues but singled out the demand for combined responsibilities in the charter of children.
She revealed the ideal for child protection on good morals and discipline besides cultural norms and practices.

Nakawala warned women on government programs to live its purpose as planned and not to use it so for wrong aspects. She related scenarios where some  women who have  benefited  from PDM, have ended up boycotting shared roles in marriage causing social uphill in societal setups.
