Verification of all government aided schools kicked off today

Over 86 education institutions in Mbale district to be verified and establish the number of enrollments.
 Watasa Mayoka, the Principal Internal Auditor for the district says the exercise is aimed at verifying the data in all schools to ensure proper  planning process done especially on releases. He added that it is also in compliance with the ministry of education guidelines to carry out the verification exercise.
Three teams comprising finance and administration who were selected for this activity and they are expected to take 10 days in compiling the needed data effectively.
Several schools in Bungokho South started on with a good note though the exercise kicked off late.

Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. The team compromised of political and technical stakeholders with the presence of Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume as mandated by the President. Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. The Local government public accounts committee of mbale district stepped out for monitoring exercise on the projects assessed in the financial years  2023/2024  and 2024/2025 respectively. Mbale district local government consists of 14 sub counties and three town councils as lower local government units and rural urban centres respectively. With consolidated funds from government, the "Wanachi" meaning the netizens receive the funding through respective ministries in terms of service delivery at village, parish and sub county levels.
