STRONGMINDS UGANDA PRESENTS A SCORECARD ON MENTAL HEALTH IN MBALE!

Eastern Uganda,
On Mental Health!

Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week.
StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. By sharing this tool with key stakeholders, we hoped to improve service delivery and ensure that mental health services are accessible and effective.
Katami Bess, the district vice chairperson in her closing remarks echoed the need to adopt the framework and build a chain between health and education players in the process.
"Let parents get involved in this program to make it a complete and strong compaign". 
Katami, appreciated the Ministry of education and strongminds Uganda for collaboration towards health and Productive responses among communities affected.

The dissemination event was also crucial in relation to the mental health integration in the district and city. It will bring together educators, healthcare professionals, and district officials to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for better mental health integration.

This event aligns with the district and city's priorities to promote mental health and well-being. By supporting this initiative, we can contribute to the overall development of the district and city. We believe that this event will be a significant step towards promoting mental health integration in Mbale.
