BUILDING STRENGTH TOWARDS TEENS EMPOWERMENT IN UGANDA
KAMPALA.
On Wednesday 28th, Eddie Nahwera, founder Kigezi Teens Magazine met with Madam Julie Solberg and Mr. Rino Solberg at the Child Africa offices in Kansanga- Kampala to discuss potential collaborations focused on empowering teenagers through innovation, mentorship and sustainable development.
According to Eddie Nahwera,founder Kigezi Teens Magazine, the meeting was deeply inspiring, as both Julie and Rino Solberg have demonstrated a long-standing commitment to youth empowerment in Uganda and other parts of Africa especially through their NGO Child Africa that has helped many to achieve education. They reportedly exchanged ideas on how to elevate the impact of Uganda Teens Magazine, with the goal of making it a truly national platform that enables young people from all corners of Uganda to express themselves, learn, connect and grow.
Eddie Nahwera also introduced an initiative titled BINGWA, which means "champion" in Swahili. He explained that the program is aimed at helping all Uganda teens understand their potential and equipping them with the mindset and tools to become leaders, fight corruption ,have honesty & integrity and be changemakers in their communities.
The vision is also to nurture a generation of honest,confident,skilled and socially responsible youth.
As our slogan says, every child is a champion, indeed we are going to raise a generation of Champions for the benefit of our communities and the country at large.
He expressed profound gratitude to the Solberg family for their unwavering support from the very beginning. Their encouragement, he said, has been instrumental in his journey and has
helped him take bold steps toward realizing his vision.
Looking to the future, Eddie Nahwera emphasized that Uganda Teens Magazine is committed to building impactful partnerships grounded in purpose and passion, all with the shared mission of uplifting the next generation. He conclusively requested for support from all well wishers, the government and anyone who would be willing to collaborate with them is welcome.
"Together, we are working toward a future where every teenager in Uganda has the support, knowledge, and inspiration they need to thrive," he concluded
