Low School Enrollment Bites At Bubentsye Seed Secondary school!

Bubentsye Seed Secondary School is a government-supported school located in Bunatsoma village, Wanale Sub-county of Mbale District, currently serving over 400  students in a remote, high-altitude area. 

The institution features modern infrastructure including science labs, computer labs, and teacher quarters, and actively engages students through educational outreach programs. 

The population is drastically deteriorating due to internal fights between management and the community leading to emptyness and dust coats on walls apparently. 

Land acquisitions and representation on boards seems to brawl beyond the standards.
The Resident District Commissioner, Bayole Stanley together with Political and  district technical team visited the school only to find loitering students in clusters without teachers and administrators during class hours.

Bayole directed the chairman board to make it in the writing explaining irregularities that have affected learners and the school management.
During the visit, students informed us that classes are heavily affected due to absenteeism and little time for project development during sessions.

Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. The team compromised of political and technical stakeholders with the presence of Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume as mandated by the President. STRONGMINDS UGANDA PRESENTS A SCORECARD ON MENTAL HEALTH IN MBALE!

Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. By sharing this tool with key stakeholders, we hoped to improve service delivery and ensure that mental health services are accessible and effective. District Highlights on Integrated Site Handover For projects in Financial Year 2025/2026

In ensuring adequate accountability and sector developments are achievable, Several projects have been aligned to lower local governments and urban centres under the water office to guarantee safe and clean water, health on staff quarters to provide safe and quality care for both mothers and new born babies, and in the education department, to ensure learners' environment is sound and meaningful with proper hygiene and Sanitation. Mbale district local government continues to plan and appropriate funds to areas with need but also improving the services across the district. Several sites were handed over to contractors meeting the requirements to execute works in accordance to project costings and complete the works in time since 75% of funds are already in the district account.
