PDM beneficiaries in Mbale city and district on review count.
Wanakina Davidson the DPMO Mbale district says all the selected beneficiaries are potential entrepreneurs at 39% vulnerability to have sustainable income, the PDM money is meant to transform households in the real economy. His remarks give a deeper revelation from Inception to date.
"90 PDM Saccos with 2,175 PDM enterprise groups is our current status now, I encourage you to put the money into proper use as planned , not spending without the attached budget".
DPMO Wanakina appealed to beneficiaries to remain transparent and desist from unnecessary forms of extortion, conflict of interest and diversion in their communities. He stressed that though some beneficiaries received less money, the ministry of finance and office of the president are aware and there is a plan to first complete the disbursement and then the top up can be done on the PDMIS.
He highlighted on capitation grants added by the government into the Saccos in the district.
Namubiru projected for additional funding so that their operations are dealt smoothly.
Wesonga Abass, one of the beneficiaries appealed to the government for mechanisation revealing that those into hot culture need such support because water irrigation is required throughout.
Musenero welcomed the feedback as paramount towards better and transparency in the region.
The district chairperson Mafabi Muhammad stressed that PDM seemed unrealistic but of late, the fruits have shown up with impact at household level. The chairperson says working closely with "Wanachi" has greatly improved the feedback across the district.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to stay meaningful and put the money into the selected enterprises. The government has put a lot of efforts to transform the economy starting with the key players who have failed to get the line of progress.
Mafabi says focusing on the progress and stability of the district, putting up exemplary leadership with better roads and services for purposeful future. He said!
