The Assistant Agriculture Officer for Bumityelo Sub County in Namisindwa district Isaac Sebeni was on Tuesday held on allegations of extortion in the implementation of the government’s parish development (PDM) programme.*

His arrest followed a meeting convened by the Namisindwa Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) Bosco Nabbonge at Bumityelo Sub County where PDM beneficiaries accused Isaac Sebeni of extorting more than one million shillings from them.

The arrest follows a meeting which was held by Bosco Nabongo the assistant resident district commissioner of Namisindwa yesterday at Bumityelo Sub County with hundreds of PDM beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries claimed that despite paying money ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 shillings in August this year, they are yet to receive the PDM funds.

Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district.
