"Bungokho Secondary School shines bright at fundraising event. 

Today Bungokho ss hosted a resounding fundraising event to complete their Administration block construction.

Former minister Hon. Kafabusa Werikhe Michael championed the collection of the funds from different individuals. The RDC mbale district Mr. Bayole Stanley graced the event and contributed 20bags of cement.The school headteacher, Sister Nelima Rose, expressed heartfelt gratitude to parents for their generosity.

Chairman Bungokho Subcounty Mafabi Chris Omir showed strong support with a substantial financial contribution. Many aspirants joined in, demonstrating a shared commitment to education. Kudos to the Bungokho SS community for rallying together.A significant amount of funds and materials were raised, bringing the school closer to bigger heights.

This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the collective effort and dedication of the school community.

Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. The team compromised of political and technical stakeholders with the presence of Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume as mandated by the President. The composition at Bungokho Sub county yielded numbers for the day's activity as Chris Mafabi, the sub county chairman shared his findings with Monitoring and supervision lead team. According to the Site Engineer Magola Stanley, said that the 11.6Kms  work progress stands at 45% including site clearing, bush clearing, graveling,  drainage system and Arch bridge construction at 80%. Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. By sharing this tool with key stakeholders, we hoped to improve service delivery and ensure that mental health services are accessible and effective. MBALE DISTRICT PAC MONITORING TEAM FOR SPOT CHECKS!

The Local government public accounts committee of mbale district stepped out for monitoring exercise on the projects assessed in the financial years  2023/2024  and 2024/2025 respectively. Mbale district local government consists of 14 sub counties and three town councils as lower local government units and rural urban centres respectively. With consolidated funds from government, the "Wanachi" meaning the netizens receive the funding through respective ministries in terms of service delivery at village, parish and sub county levels.
