Soyabean seed project an incentive to farmers in Mbale district.

Musibikha Juliet from buwalasi parish, Busiu Sub county shared a successful story amidst biting challenges, citing improved household income, adequate food security and steady progress as far as Soyabean and ground nuts farming is changing lives of her group members. This was revealed during our weekend edition interview on one on one.
Musibikha in her words spotted the challenges though she says the production department of Mbale district local government has been instrumental towards better yield.Sample of Soyabean field 
"We expect to harvest over 500kgs this year compared to the previous seasons".

The senior agriculture officer Khainza Rose Okello affirmed that the assistance rendered is cutting across several groups in the five sub counties involved in the national oil seed project, saying this is the beginning of positive feedback from the farmers carrying out seed project activities.
During harvest, the farmers exhibited resilience and tideous work before the final seed is moved for drying and storage.
