Busano Township Granted A Safe Sanitation Facility!
Mbale, Uganda.
Mbale district water office, through water and environmental initiative, has today Launched a three stance pit latrine to busano township community to ensure safe sanitation remains meaningful in restoring public health among other hazards.
The district water officer, Wandera Simon Peter expressed concern over poor sanitation in the area and said the department Continues to extend such facilities with the objective of safe sanitation to enhance sound public health.
He says the project is a fullfillment to the out cry of the residents in busano township over poor convince Facilities.
Speaking during the launch, the water officer said, the project was awarded to Robbann Enterprises Limited as the contractor at a cost of 15 million shillings.
During the launch, the Sub County local councel three, Wabusi John Bosco expressed gratitude to district Leadership through water department for considering busano subcounty and township in particular as beneficiaries.
"We appreciate the district water Office for offering a public service for the good of our people".
Secretary for works, Production and Natural Resources, Musambwa Issa Gidudu represented district chairperson who appealed to contracts committee to enable completion of the facility is attained.
He says the pledges under the Leadership of the district chairperson are prioritized to benefit "Wanachi".

The deputy Resident District Commissioner, Nakawala Naume officially Launched the project witnessed by community team and district officials.
Nakawala called for proper Facility usage to achieve its purpose.
She appealed to community Members to embrace government programs and support school going children for a better Uganda tomorrow. The NRM government has a lot to the Wanachi but unless you are Prepared to harmonise relay behind such initiatives

The day witnessed yet another milestone in ensuring Proper waste management is achieved to control the Poor sanitation In Uganda, unProper waste management is primarily caused by a combination of factors including: widespread poverty, inadequate sanitation infrastructure, lack of education regarding hygiene practices, rapid urbanization leading to informal settlements with poor facilities, cultural norms that perpetuate unsafe practices, and limited access to clean water sources, all contributing to high rates of open defecation and disease transmission.
