EC's update kicks off, lacals urged to embrace the activity.

Today marks the beginning of the Electoral Commission's National Register update exercise. Stellah Byenkya the Bududa District,  Returning Officer has  urged all eligible voters to participate in the activity.

According to the Electoral Commission, this exercise is a crucial step towards ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the National Voters' Register.

The update process will take place at designated stations in each parish across Uganda, starting today.

Manafwa District's Returning Officer, Stellah Byenkya emphasizes the importance of citizens' participation, encouraging all eligible voters to turn up and exercise their civic duty. 

This update will pave the way for the 2025/2026 General Elections, and it's essential that every voice is heard.

She called upon all registered voter in Bududa District or any other part of Uganda, make sure to visit your nearest update station and be part of this democratic process.

Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. By sharing this tool with key stakeholders, we hoped to improve service delivery and ensure that mental health services are accessible and effective. MBALE DISTRICT PAC MONITORING TEAM FOR SPOT CHECKS!

The Local government public accounts committee of mbale district stepped out for monitoring exercise on the projects assessed in the financial years  2023/2024  and 2024/2025 respectively. Mbale district local government consists of 14 sub counties and three town councils as lower local government units and rural urban centres respectively. With consolidated funds from government, the "Wanachi" meaning the netizens receive the funding through respective ministries in terms of service delivery at village, parish and sub county levels.
