Our reporter had an exclusive interview with Okecha Joseph, the senior fisheries officer of mbale district as we were able to analyze and run a feature documentary on different types of fish Farming. Understanding the requirements before the enterprise, brings us close to fish ponds and water dams in our discussions tonight!


It is from this snippet that actually farming using guages on water dams and ponds gives a promisable yield with less costs. The senior fisheries officer during the field day unveiled the new fish farming technique with  many anticipating to begin on the enterprize.
At the small scale irrigation scheme, its funded by government under the ministry of water and environment, farmers in bumbobi have registered the progress on continious farming with the scheme holding a 4 acrege installed piped water running throughout the year.
The farmers have apartioned themselves plots with variety of hotculture agro economy with support form the Ministry of water and environment.
Wabuge John, the farm overseer revealed that the intensive work on the farm has also made it a regional scheme hence improving on the qualities during the harvest.

He appealed to different partners to diversify on the existing corporation and support on the scaling process.
Muniala Martin, the chairperson for bumbobi sub county called for collective effort from  both farmers and government for inproved livelihood among families.
He applauded the district leadership and most especially the  technical support from the district.

This project is funded by the government under the Ministry of water and environment.
