BUDGET DAY, MBALE DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS ON INDUSTRIALIZATION!

Today Mbale District local government held a budget Conference hosting all the stakeholders, partners and staff to reflect on the budgeting framework and resources mobilization towards stepping up industrialization in areas anticipated for revenue base. 
Deputy CAO Chepteok Juliet presented an  overview of the budget conference as it mandated in her docket, Highlighting areas of concern with attention from the implementing partners in the district.
The district leadership plans to prioritize on areas which are directly benefiting communities and ensure sustainable goals are achieved.

while addressing the congregation, zeroed on focus to develop the district.
"My emphasis on service provisions should continue as we serve the I interests of our people in the district". Said Mafabi.
He pledged total commitment towards serving the people of Mbale.
The budgeting consultantive meeting for Mbale District local government has ended with success registering 96% on attendance.

Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. The team compromised of political and technical stakeholders with the presence of Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume as mandated by the President. The composition at Bungokho Sub county yielded numbers for the day's activity as Chris Mafabi, the sub county chairman shared his findings with Monitoring and supervision lead team. According to the Site Engineer Magola Stanley, said that the 11.6Kms  work progress stands at 45% including site clearing, bush clearing, graveling,  drainage system and Arch bridge construction at 80%. STRONGMINDS UGANDA PRESENTS A SCORECARD ON MENTAL HEALTH IN MBALE!

Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. By sharing this tool with key stakeholders, we hoped to improve service delivery and ensure that mental health services are accessible and effective. MBALE DISTRICT PAC MONITORING TEAM FOR SPOT CHECKS!

The Local government public accounts committee of mbale district stepped out for monitoring exercise on the projects assessed in the financial years  2023/2024  and 2024/2025 respectively. Mbale district local government consists of 14 sub counties and three town councils as lower local government units and rural urban centres respectively. With consolidated funds from government, the "Wanachi" meaning the netizens receive the funding through respective ministries in terms of service delivery at village, parish and sub county levels.
