A warm historical visit of our Kuka (grandfather) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.
Inzekhele ye Namisindwa, together with all the people of Namisindwa and Bugisu at large, with exceeding honour, gladly  welcome you to Namisindwa on Saturday September 28,2024, as you grace the memorial service of the late gallant Bush comrade Perezi Musamali at Matuwa Primary School in Bupoto Sub-county, Namisindwa district.

Namisindwa is another home to his Excellency because without its hospitable and kind people, Iddi Amin would have killed the youthful Museveni in 1971.
Special gratitude to James Wamalwa (RIP), the Special Branch officer at Bumbo Police Post in the 1970s, who arrested  Museveni, Magode Ikuya and Abwooli Malibo (RIP), but set them free for he saw no reason why freedom fighters would be killed. 
“Wamalwa being a kind officer knew our intentions, but the thought of us being killed by Amin, evoked empathy in him and he set us free. He told us to go away and stop whatever we were pursuing,” President Museveni states in his book Sowing the Mustard Seed. 
The people of Namisindwa, under the stewardship of maama Cherop Ziporah, offered food, shelter and love to the FRONASA team. Namisindwa caves offered a safe haven for them until victory was achieved.
Where else can you call home apart from that where your life was saved.

Mbale district monitoring and supervision team in an inclusive composure, continued to assese the works of NOSP community access road spanning from Bungokho to Bumbobi respectively. The team compromised of political and technical stakeholders with the presence of Deputy resident commissioner, Nakawala Naume as mandated by the President. The composition at Bungokho Sub county yielded numbers for the day's activity as Chris Mafabi, the sub county chairman shared his findings with Monitoring and supervision lead team. According to the Site Engineer Magola Stanley, said that the 11.6Kms  work progress stands at 45% including site clearing, bush clearing, graveling,  drainage system and Arch bridge construction at 80%. STRONGMINDS UGANDA PRESENTS A SCORECARD ON MENTAL HEALTH IN MBALE!

Eastern Uganda, On Mental Health! Stakeholders from both Mbale districit and City attended a one meeting at lukhobo hall on Friday March 2025 this week. StrongMinds Uganda,  organized the dissemination of the Mental Health Scorecard for Schools and Health Facilities to key stakeholders in several districts including Mbale city and Mbale district. This event aimed to promote mental health awareness and integration in schools and health facilities. The scorecard is a tool designed to track and evaluate the quality of mental health services in these settings. By sharing this tool with key stakeholders, we hoped to improve service delivery and ensure that mental health services are accessible and effective. MBALE DISTRICT PAC MONITORING TEAM FOR SPOT CHECKS!

The Local government public accounts committee of mbale district stepped out for monitoring exercise on the projects assessed in the financial years  2023/2024  and 2024/2025 respectively. Mbale district local government consists of 14 sub counties and three town councils as lower local government units and rural urban centres respectively. With consolidated funds from government, the "Wanachi" meaning the netizens receive the funding through respective ministries in terms of service delivery at village, parish and sub county levels.
