CIRCUMCISION @ BUMUTOTO CULTURAL SITE, MBALE CITY.

Bumutoto in Mbale City is a ground for Bamasaba cultural heritage with the symbolism of Wanale horizon running with folded waterfalls from the ringes on the hillside. Wanale carries the rest of the beauty in dominance of Masaba land with Bamboo, Coffee and game reserve for the wildlife in Eastern Uganda.

Culture and sounds originate from the hills of Wanale, sharing the aspiration of circumcision calendar to Kenyan west province where Bugoma sits it's cultural board extention of Mubuya family with the Kikuyu tribe aligned to Bugisu culture and Administration, forming INZU YA MASABA fully represented in Uganda and Kenya.

Mbale City being the center and host in the region, the families of Mwambu, Wanale and Mubuya originate from the Eastern Uganda to Western Kenya forming the "Kikuyu" lineage.
Circumcision from inception, has a lot of attachments since its inception, generation after generation has expounded on the cultural reforms making it a heritage practice.

Over 10 districts embrace cultural circumcision heritage but all fall at Bumutoto cultural grounds for historical background, in Mbale City in Eastern Uganda.

Cultural perspective

Girls beautify and energize the boys during the kadodi dance, this segment takes three days from the day a candidate is smeared traditional millet and cassava powder initiating the procession for circumcision.

Cultural songs are sung varingly depending on cultural families dialect including the dances.
Much as it is a tradition, it carries excitement leaving a lot of perception underlying the social aspect.

Girls and Boys mingle entirely creating forces to behavioral change, it is from such background, we interest ourselves and set guidelines and policies to protect the generation from wrongly perceiving the culture nomes and practices.
Bamasaba's cultural heritage is celebrated every  even year with rich social economic norms evidenced.

On 3rd August this year, all walks of life gather in advance with economic attachment in preparation to official grand opening at the cultural center grounds in Mbale City.

.         MINISTER OF INZU YA MASABA 
Moses Kutoi the Institution’s Minister for Culture and Heritage says,
"the launch of the traditional circumcision amongst Bamasaba will be presided over by two heads of state at Bumutoto Cultural Ground in Mbale City. Kutoi says invitations have been extended to the Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his Kenyan counterpart, Dr. William Samoei Ruto.

The Cultural Minister has assured Bamasaba that all security measures have been in place to ensure the launch is peacefully organized.
