RDC MBALE DISTRICT MEETS SACCO LEADERS OVER EMYOOGA REGULARIZATION
Emyooga Sacco leaders thrilled on the working modernities towards government programs. Leaders from the three constituencies consisting of Bungokho North, Central and South convened in lukhobo hall to rely on the Emyooga uptake.
Mbale District RDC, Nasike Asumin implored the participants on good working conducts and requested leaders to remind the beneficiaries to make payments so as the improve and widen livelihood to other members.
"This time I want us to avoid harassment and pay the money back on the Sacco accounts without tight follow-ups."
The RDC called upon Sacco leaders to cooperate with her office to avoid disputes.
She says some Saccos are doing fairly well like the Bungokho south women's Sacco and the fishermen having over 80millions.
The RDC called for the renewal of the certificates and auditing saccos which help in assessment performances
Ms.Nasike warned that Sacco offices should remain open and serve the interests of other beneficiaries.
"Unfortunately, there was a scenario where some Sacco members forged stamps and swept off money from the Emyooga accounts to zero balance."
She says Mbale district stands as the third best district in the entire country on PDM enrollments. Such indicators reflect good governnes and supervisions.
RDC on defaults, pointed out a few elements who had swiddled money amounting to 130millions where arrests were made bringing recoveries immediately. Money was recovered back to accounts and the bank now follows right procedures. She said.
"My humble appeal to you, please pay back the money, let's avoid intrigue while serving people.
Today as we leave here, let's have a smooth run of the Emyooga program. RDC sounded keenly.
Further more the money was met to improve your livelihood on an individual basis and members that have joint ventures.
"Reactivate the offices and ensure the payments are made well."
Avoid bad implications in this program, let's do our best and work jointly as one.
The district commercial officer, Irene Buteme Shimiyu encouraged members to add more shares not to hinder progress.
Buteme sounded mistrust emerging from some signatories who get money from the bank but give less.
Such complaints came in from the Sacco members who had submitted on severely.
The commercial officer says next week will be for capacity building to the Sacco leaders on a zone basis.
