RESIDENTS IN NAMAWANGA, WANINDA PARISHES GRILL LEADERS OVER EXORBITANT PROGRAMS
Residents of Waninda and Namawanga parishes gathered in muyembe village at Namawanga health center III to question
the local authorities explain the whereabouts of the members who had exortated money claiming they were enrolling their children for skills, this meeting attracted the office of the RDC, DPC, GISO, Local councils at village level and the community members at large.
The residents wrote to office of the RDC for intervention in the matter of money exortations by some local leaders pretending to be helping the PLE dropouts and secondary leavers acquire skills for livelihood. The announcements were relied on the Namawanga community radio attracting several parents register their children, we are informed that each child needed around thirty thousand shillings (30,000)/= to be included on the program.
The people behind this saga, the names were withheld for investigation purposes, this was observed by the DRDC, Nakawala Naume for Mbale District.
The Mbale DPC representative, Kizito Abubaker warned of fraud stars in Namawanga being on run after Courts order.
Kizito further alerted the gathering that those on run have infiltrated these communities with hidden agenda, he called on vigilance upon residents.

LCI for Muyembe village, Wekhomba Nichols refuted the allegations saying it's total envy on his Community radio progress and that some people are behind his downfall.
His narrative implied, he only ran the announcements on the radio to attract numbers since he was given prove of the forms of the entrants.

Namwano Eunice, a resident and complainant on the matter raised, says the son nearly killed her after returning from unsuccessful journey and training.
She echoed to the authorities to bring the calprites into limelight for accountability upon their cries.
The situations seemed tense, but shortly the DRDC Nakawala Naume calmned it down by probing one the local council members to clearly explain the genesis of the matter on table.
Noise and insults branded the in defence but immediately, the DRDC called order from the UN contented in the attendance.
Nakawala reminded "Wanachi" to support government programs most especially when those that have been justified as government initiative. She appealed residents to post good leadership and open minded for continuous developments.
On other developments, she requested the village, parish and Sub county leadership review the memorandum of understanding between the radio owner and them for satisfactory public considerations inline with health attention. Said Nakawala.
